Part one as they run past a mirror for a moment you see a reflection of who is filming and it appears to show a woman a woman that potentially could be his long-lost sister so he gathers his friends Lisa our documentarian this time as well as Peter and his girlfriend Ashley their first stop once they make it to Burkittsville is the home of lane the guy who uploaded the footage and his girlfriend Talia they are both local to the area and have their own opinions about the truth of the local legend clearly they think the Blair Witch is real and they want to see it for themselves they offer to take James and his pals to the woods to show them where they found the footage and so the six head into the woods to hopefully find out definitively what happened to Heather of course things won't be that easy after they make it to the forest Lane reveals they aren't quite as knowledgeable as they first led them to believe they haven't even been very deep into the woods before and essentially coerced James and company to come along so they had strength in numbers in searching the woods those bastards that is so not cool it's not long after this that things start to get bad for the group and familiy evidence of the witch teasing them are left behind like the iconic stick figures but guess what lain faked those two in an attempt to convince them that there is a reason to keep searching the woods god this guy is the worst and our main crew agree forcing the two of them off into.

Hey guys welcome to fan flicks on this ending explained I'll be looking at the Blair Witch sequel that came out just last week since it's still in theaters I don't have access to the whole movie only a few clips so bear with me while I try to explain this point all right so the sequel is set about 15 years after the original Blair Witch Project movie that came out in 1999 for those not familiar with the Blair Witch Project it followed the journey of Heather Josh and Mike who set off into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland to uncover the truth about the local legend of the Blair Witch they have a pretty tough few days as is clear something is in the woods terrorizing them in the end they stumble upon a cabin josh is missing at this point presumed dead Mike and Heather get separated and as Heather makes her way to the cellar finds Mike standing motionless in the corner something hits her to the ground off screen and we see a final few moments from her camera as the movie end so nothing explicit or definitive is seen regarding their ultimate fates we assume they're dead but perhaps not regardless nothing is seen to make us think otherwise fast forward to 2014 and how this younger brother James is still holding out hope that Heather is alive somehow in the forest he becomes further convinced when he discovers footage on YouTube that was uploaded from the Black Hills forest in the footage we see a POV shot running through the halls of what looks like the house from.
